Applied Anatomy: Land and Water
As a fitness professional, you are never finished learning anatomy and movement!  This workshop allows you to revisit and enhance your knowledge of anatomy and its application to major muscle movement both on land and in water.  You will focus on the ability to identify and better understand the function of major muscle and joint groups, muscle contractions in movement, and further apply equipment use in exercise.  Knowledge is power!  Increase your effectiveness with your clients by reviewing and increasing the depth of your knowledge.

Transitioning Personal Training from Land to Water

You will follow these simple steps to complete the course:
At Home On Line Training:
     Module 1    Introduction to Aquatic Personal Training.
                         Sponsored by Aquatic Exercise Association
     Module 2    Aquatic Personal Training Programming.
     Module 3    Applied Anatomy: Land and Water.
One Day On Site Training:
     Module 4    Shallow Water Moves/Formats & Basic Water Safety.
     Module 5    Deep Water Moves/Formats & Basic Aquatic Equipment. 

Requirements:
You must have completed a land-based personal training certification by an accredited organization. This may be a Personal Trainer Certification or higher certification (for example: ACSM Health Fitness Specialist or NSCA CSCS), or a 2 or 4 year degree in fitness or a related field.
Course Recommendations:
Experience in the water. We recommend that you take an aquatic group fitness course or work with a trained and experienced aquatic personal trainer.
