101. Teach to Reach More Participants:

You are a Fitness Educator and Business professional.  The goal of this workshop is to provide you with proven scientifically researched methods and teaching styles that will help you be more effective and successful with your clients.   

This 2-hour interactive workshop is appropriate for both Land and Aquatic group fitness instructors and personal trainers who range in skills from beginner to advanced fitness professionals.  Open yourself to the possibility of a more effective teaching style.  One that can draw a larger, more profitable audience.  Interactive learning methods and great visual material are used to instruct this workshop.

102. Applied Anatomy:

Be confident and comfortable with anatomy.  This workshop is for all fitness professionals to revisit and enhance your knowledge of anatomy and its application to major muscle movement both land and water.  Proper usage of various types of resistance equipment will be explored to assist in the creation of effective training programs.  The  class will focus on the ability to identify and better understand the function of major muscle and joint groups as they relate to exercise using a variety of resistive equipment.

103. Functional Training for all Ages:

What is Functional Training?  Am I missing an opportunity to develop my business to target this rewarding market?  The term “functional fitness” can be simply defined as the level of fitness needed to complete daily activities without undue stress or fatigue.  Athletes are “functionally” and “specifically” conditioned to optimize performance levels.

Seniors need to be functionally prepared to perform basic ADL’s, or activities of daily living.  Functional training is designed to maximize efficiency and performance for a specific population.  This land mark course is designed to provide you with a unique multi-dimensional functional training program. 104. Mind Body Fitness Techniques:  

 

Gain a deeper insight into the history of mind-body techniques.  Participant in a workshop designed to expose you the personal trainer and fitness instructor to a more holistic approach to training and multiple sources of alternative medicine.  Using an interactive learning style, this workshop will have you developing a better understanding of relaxation techniques and yogic philosophies.  Increase your awareness to train your clients to help identify and recognize the physical symptoms of stress. 

 

Focus on both theoretical and experiential learning, designed to facilitate a greater understanding of the functioning Wellness model.  Physical techniques will be introduced for stress relief through exercise and relaxation methods.  Expose yourself to the mind-body philosophies of Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, and how they can impact your land or aquatics fitness programs.

105. Biomechanics for Fitness:

Anatomy and movement forms the structure for exercise used by fitness professionals.  This Biomechanics workshop is designed to enhance your understanding of anatomy and kinesiology, and the principals and mechanics as to how they relate to human motion.

106. Personal Trainer #1 - Health Risk Appraisal and Risk Factor Analysis:


Develop your skills to better understand the process for screening a client with the 2006 American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Guidelines for Exercise Testing.  Recognize
your legal and ethical responsibility to clients.  Be secure by utilizing a Health Appraisal and Risk Factor Assessment.

113. Burdenko Water Walker Programming

114.  Power Pool Pilates Interval  

"Join Joe in the pool." This is the program that Joseph Pilates would have created had he been able to utilize his enduring principles and apply them to an aquatic environment   Facilitate your understanding of core strengthening and stabilization using Pilates principles and movement patterns in aquatic interval training.  Anatomy, biomechanics, and postural awareness will be the focus. 

Interval training is excellent for cooler pools where lack of continuous movement will leave your participants chilled. This objective is achieved by a continued mix of high intensity cardio coupled with Pilates movements. The successful instructor will gain kinesthetic as well as postural awareness and a greater ability to incorporate these principles in the water.

115.     Core & More Powers Moves; BOSU & Medicine Ball Training  

BOSU and Medicine Ball Training are becoming increasingly popular with both athletes and individuals wanting to improve lifestyle and functional specific fitness.  With this program we incorporate the power and explosive pylometric training of Medicine Ball and the balancing aspects of BOSU. This combination of exercise platforms enhances muscle strength in your hips, abs and back. YOUR CORE!  

Learn the principles of core stability, functional fitness training and strengthening concepts as they relate to the use of BOSU and Medicine Balls. Develop a greater understanding of exercise guidelines for progression, anatomical awareness and modifications for safety techniques.
